This go-live marks Epic’s first enterprise community member in Canada, Epic CEO Judy Faulkner said in a statement. The end-to-end EMR includes features to improve patient flow and experience, such as self-serve registration kiosks and electronic check-in through the MyChart patient portal.
“Over the past two years, our staff, physicians and volunteers have been working together as a team to ensure this journey is a success, and we are proud to be the first hospital in Canada to implement the end-to-end Epic system,” said Dr. Steven Jackson, chief of staff at Mackenzie Health.
