Lahey Health earns HIMSS Stage 6 recognition

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society recognized Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health for its EMR initiatives.

Lahey Health earned Stage 6 on the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model, which acknowledges healthcare organizations that have improved patient safety and clinician support. To reach this designation, Lahey Health worked to integrate its hospitals, outpatient clinics and provider offices and combine the EMR Adoption Model algorithms across its infrastructure.

"We are deeply passionate about ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for our patients, whether they enter our system through an emergency department, outpatient clinic or provider's office, and this recognition is proof that our model is optimized for success now and in the future," said David Reis, PhD, senior vice president and CIO of Lahey Health.
