Kyocera, a technology company headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, known for “ruggedized” devices built for outdoor and rough use, introduced Authentidate’s InscrybeMD remote monitoring software on its Brigadier smartphone. The two companies recently completed an interoperability test and are preparing to launch their solution, according to a news release. The software can track wellness and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Authentidate, based in Berkeley Heights, N.J., delivers its products in a software-as-a-service format, based on a monthly subscription. Its software is also designed to facilitate telehealth and hospital discharges.
“We believe that together, Authentidate and Kyocera could provide a mobility solution that combines best-in-class software and hardware to meet the healthcare industry’s unique requirements while enabling the proven, practical benefits for patients and providers that telehealth offers,” said Authentidate CEO Ian C. Bonnet in the news release.
