IT workers most familiar with Epic platform

When it comes to IT vendor familiarity, the majority of health IT workers report having the most experience using Epic’s EMR system, according to a survey from Greythorn.

Greythorn, a technology and health IT recruitment consultancy, released its 2015 Healthcare IT Market Report surveying its database of IT professionals. In it, 59 percent of full-time employees and 79 percent of part-time employees indicated they are most familiar with the Verona, Wis.-based vendor’s EMR.

Eleven percent of full-time employees said they were most professionally familiar with Cerner, 7 percent said Meditech and 5 percent said McKesson.

For part-time employees, 11 percent indicated most familiarity with Cerner and 3 percent with AllScripts.
