InterSystems launches data platform across Amazon, Google & Microsoft clouds

InterSystems, a healthcare database software vendor, unveiled a new unified data platform that can operate on popular clouds such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.

Three things to know:

1. InterSystems’ IRIS for Health is designed to give providers, developers and customers access to health data to build and scale digital applications on the cloud of their choosing.

2. The platform supports interoperability standards such as Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, Health Level 7 Version 2 and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise. IRIS for Health also supports representational state transfer application programming interfaces.

3. "Digital transformation is sweeping the healthcare industry, and it is being driven by data," Don Woodlock, vice president of InterSystems HealthShare, said in a news release.
