InterSystems launches data platform across Amazon, Google & Microsoft clouds

InterSystems, a healthcare database software vendor, unveiled a new unified data platform that can operate on popular clouds such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.

Three things to know:

1. InterSystems’ IRIS for Health is designed to give providers, developers and customers access to health data to build and scale digital applications on the cloud of their choosing.

2. The platform supports interoperability standards such as Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, Health Level 7 Version 2 and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise. IRIS for Health also supports representational state transfer application programming interfaces.

3. “Digital transformation is sweeping the healthcare industry, and it is being driven by data,” Don Woodlock, vice president of InterSystems HealthShare, said in a news release. “This kind of radical change requires a solid foundation to handle the massive data demands of the modern healthcare industry. InterSystems IRIS for Health helps organizations make the transition, delivering data management, interoperability, transaction processing and analytical capabilities.”
