Texas Children’s Hospital Establishes Pediatric Robotic Surgery Program

Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston announced the establishment of its first dedicated pediatric robotic surgery program.

Chester Koh, MD, will lead the program. He focuses on robotic and minimally invasive surgery in children.

The hospital has also acquired the da Vinci Si Surgical System, which will be used for a number of procedures, including kidney removal, kidney reconstructive surgery, ureter reconstructive surgery and bladder reconstructive surgery.
