Parkview Health’s Mirro Center for Research and Innovation (Fort Wayne, Ind.). Honoring cardiologist Michael Mirro, MD, the Mirro Center for Research and Innovation is 82,000 square feet and houses more than 90 rooms. Opened in 2015, Mirro Center advances translation research, device and pharmaceutical clinical trials as well as educational tools. The center collaborates with scientists, entrepreneurs and organizations that share the same goals. It also houses the Medical Simulation Lab, which allows physicians to train on high-fidelity medical manikins as well as leverage virtual solutions for endovascular, laparoscopic and pulmonary procedures.
