Howard Messing has been appointed board chair of Meditech following the death of company founder Neil Pappalardo.
Mr. Messing was most recently vice board chair at the privately owned EHR vendor, where he also served as CEO for 10 years. Mr. Pappalardo’s son, Michael, was also named to the board at its April 27 meeting.
“Meditech’s ownership structure and governance model remain firmly in place, ensuring continuity in our leadership, strategy and operations,” Meditech President and CEO Michelle O’Connor said in an April 28 news release. “We are confident in a bright and successful future for the company.”
