“Look, we run some of our customer’s workloads on the IBM Cloud today,” CEO Martin Schroeter said in the Aug. 17 story. “It’s just that the others have a much bigger market share, so it’s a much more important market for us in the future.”

Kyndryl ranks fifth in the global cloud market, behind Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Alibaba, according to a July report from Synergy Research Group.
The firm’s sales declined 10 percent to $4.3 billion in the second quarter of 2022, surpassing analysts’ expectations, Bloomberg reported. The company hopes to expand sales by 2025.
