Virginia Rometty, CEO of IBM, said at the Code Conference Wednesday in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., that releasing such information would be moot since the Watson business continues to grow. “There would be no value in making that disclosure,” she said, according to the report.
IBM Watson has partnered with numerous healthcare organizations to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to advance directives, including partnerships with Verona, Wis.-based Epic and Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, Apple’s ResearchKit and hospitals in the United Kingdom, among many others.
The supercomputer also has many partnerships with organizations outside of healthcare, and has been used to create music, develop recipes and defend against cybercrime, to name a few.
