Founded in 2009 by former IBM engineer Raghu Varadan, Agile 3 Solutions creates software that helps executives better visualize risks associated with protecting data.

IBM Security, the division that’s acquiring the startup, said Agile 3 Solutions’ technology will be used in IBM Guardium.

“Adding Agile 3 Solutions to the IBM Security immune system of capabilities gives our team the ability to not only protect critical data, but demonstrate why it is at risk and how to remediate that risk,” said IBM Security General Manager Marc van Zadelhoff in a statement.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
