How Epic played a role in Hawai’i Pacific Health receiving the HIMSS Davies Award

This year, Honolulu-based Hawai’i Pacific Health received the HIMSS Davies Award for the second time.

Due in part to its Epic EHR, HPH accomplished various tasks that led to it achieving the award. These include the length of stay for sepsis patients by nearly two days, saving a total of 275 lives over two years and increasing annual revenue by $72 million. In addition, HPH reached the 90th percentile for numerous chronic disease benchmarks after it started in the 50th percentile or below.
