Hospital CIOs in Pacific region earn 11% more than national average, CHIME survey finds

Hospital CIOs across the country on average have experienced a 13 percent increase in salaries from 2012 to 2018, according to a College of Healthcare Information Management Executives survey.

Of CHIME’s 2,900 members, 266 completed the survey in 2018, which asked healthcare leaders about their salaries, job satisfaction and benefits.

Here’s the salary breakdown based on geographic location:

  • Northeast: $231,122
  • Southeast: $228,125
  • Midwest: $238,710
  • Southwest: $238,275
  • Rocky Mountain: $186,125
  • Pacific: $262,272
  • Alaska and Hawaii: $142,500
