HITLAB World Cup grand prize goes to iBreastExam

UE LifeSciences, a technology company, won the $5,000 grand prize at the 2016 HITLAB World Cup, an international digital health competition at the HITLAB Innovators Summit in New York.

The company won the award for their flagship product, iBreastExam, an FDA-cleared point-of-care device for breast health exams. The portable hand-held device is meant to help community health workers provide standardized breast health exams without radiation.

A total of 74 teams applied for the 2016 HITLAB World Cup prize; Green Sun Medical won the $3,000 second prize for its tech-enabled scoliosis brace.
