On Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, HIMSS is hosting complimentary virtual briefings on best practices for compliance with the new policies. In-person town hall sessions will be conducted at HIMSS’ Connected Health Conference in Washington, D.C., Nov. 8-11.

“These rules establish a number of key final policies that are intended to simplify and introduce flexibility into the program and promote the positive shift of the care delivery paradigm so health IT becomes a tool for care improvement, not an end in itself,” Thomas M. Leary, vice president of government relations for HIMSS North America, said in a statement. “These sessions from HIMSS will guide providers on how to meet the Meaningful Use requirements as they move forward.”

Following the virtual briefings and conference, all content will be available on-demand.
