- Healthcare/medical: 34.5 percent of breaches, 43.6 percent of exposed records
- Education: 9 percent of breaches, 2.9 percent of exposed records
- Government/military: 6.6 percent of breaches, 37.9 percent of exposed records
- Banking/credit/financial: 4.8 percent of breaches, 0.2 percent of exposed records
