Meducation is a cloud-based solution that delivers medication instructions for high-risk patients. It allows providers to create personalized medication patient instructions in 21 languages for patients who may have low health literacy, poor vision or language barriers.

The solution was integrated with the Sunrise EHR across all four Health First hospitals, so providers can access it within their regular clinical workflow. Health First initially conducted a trial of the Meducation software at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Fla.

“Health First providers can now use Meducation without interrupting their normal workflow,” said Edye Cleary, chief quality officer at Health First. “This allows patients to have medication instructions that are clear, easy to understand and are tailored to each individual patient.”
