As part of a nationwide effort to integrate health records of military service members, the DOD established the real-time electronic exchange in April using the eHealth Exchange, a health information exchange headed up by the DOD and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Hawaii Pacific Health uses Epic’s Care Everywhere platform, which is now linked to eHealth Exchange. Physicians at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu can now access the health records of patients who have received treatment at any of Hawaii Pacific’s facilities.
