Google, Microsoft & more make remote work tech free for coronavirus-impacted businesses

As concerns over the spread of COVID-19 drive businesses around the globe to ask employees to work from home, several tech companies have stepped up to offer those businesses their remote work-enabling digital tools for free, Inc. reports.

Microsoft, for one, is now reportedly offering an extended free trial of the premium plan of its Teams workplace communication platform, while Google has made the enterprise version of its Hangouts Meet videoconferencing feature free for all G Suite users until July 1.

Cisco, too, has extended the free version of its Webex virtual meeting service, and Zoom has removed limits on meeting times and participant numbers for enterprise customers in China.
