Google Cloud strikes partnership with blockchain company

Coin Telegraph reported Google Cloud is partnering with Cypherium, a smart contract platform that aims to offer a more scalable alternative to public blockchain infrastructures and could promote commercial adoption of distributed ledger technologies.

Three key notes:

1. The enterprise-focused blockchain platform will give Google Cloud users access to its blockchain solution as a result of the partnership, according to the report.

2. Cypherium's blockchain could support thousands of transactions per second.

3. Google Cloud isn't Cypherium's first partnership with a large technology company; it currently partners with IBM, Amazon Web Services and the Initiative for Cryptocurrencies & Contracts.
