Leidos, a Reston, Va.-based science and technology company, appointed Rob Thomas II as vice president for strategic accounts and government relations, the company announced Oct. 30.

Mr. Thomas previously served as acting assistant secretary and CIO for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In September, a VA spokesperson confirmed Mr. Thomas planned to retire from the agency in October. At Leidos, Mr. Thomas will work to strengthen the company's customer relationships and manage growth strategies.
