Former HHS chief data officer joins Advanced Research Projects Agency

The former chief data officer of the Department of Health and Human Services, Kevin Duvall, has joined the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health as acting CIO, ExecutiveGov reported Jan. 25.

In May 2022, the HHS formalized the creation of ARPA as part of an initiative to drive biotech innovation. Mr. Duvall’s appointment comes as the agency celebrates its first 100 days of existence.

In his new position, Mr. Duvall will serve as both acting chief technology officer and CIO.
