Former Amazon exec to join Alignment Healthcare as CTO

Orange, Calif.-based Alignment Healthcare, a population health company, hired former Amazon logistics team leader Tisson Mathew as its first-ever chief technology officer.

At Alignment, Mr. Mathew develop digital health solutions for Medicare beneficiaries. The company aims to improve healthcare delivery using machine-learning technology to generate clinical interventions.

During his time at Amazon, Mr. Mathew led the team that built and operated the logistics technology platform that runs Amazon Prime Now, Amazon Fresh and Amazon Flex. He most recently served as CTO for Cambia Health Solutions.
