The switch to Epic means the health system is dropping its Cerner and GE contracts, which currently operate three systems used at Mayo hospitals, according to a Kansas City Star report.

Cerner spokesman Dan Smith said Mayo’s decision to switch to Epic would not affect Cerner’s employment or growth plans, according to the report.
