The move to Epic will consolidate Mayo onto one EHR system. “With our staff working together on a common system, we will be able to accelerate innovation, enhance services and provide a better experience for our patients,” said Dawn Milliner, MD, CMIO of Mayo.
Mayo plans to assemble a project team by April 2015 including staff from Mayo Clinic, Epic and external consulting organizations. Implementation is scheduled to begin in 2017.
