Secure Decisions, a division of Applied Visions, Inc. that focuses on computer network defense and cybersecurity, announced its Code Dx analysis tool for software developers. The tool was developed under a Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology program. It runs open-source application security test and also provides a visual interface for the test, ranking the highest priority vulnerabilities near the top.

Many EMRs are open-source, including the Veteran Health Administration’s VistA. A visualization tool that prioritizes high risks can point out errors before a normal testing process would reach them, observes Forbes.
