Next week, thousands of healthcare IT professionals will travel to Verona, Wis., for Epic's annual Users Group Meeting.
The meeting, which runs from Monday, Sept. 15 to Thursday, Sept. 18, will be held on Epic's campus near Madison.
Here's an overview of the size and scope of the conference, by the numbers:
- 10,000: The number of Epic customers expected to attend the 2014 Users Group Meeting.
- 11,400: Number of seats in the Deep Space auditorium on the Epic campus, where keynotes and other conferencewide events will be held.
- $6.8 million: The amount of money injected into the Madison-area economy from lodging, food and other travel-related expenditures directly related to the conference, according to a report in The Capital Times.
- 297: Number of healthcare provider customers represented at last year's User Group Meeting. Epic currently has 315 organizations as customers.
- 90: The percent of the 750 conference sessions that will be led by Epic customers, according to the Times.
