Nearly 2,208 billionaires worth a collective $9.1 trillion made up this year’s list, and Ms. Faulkner, 74, placed 652. She is worth nearly $3.5 billion, up from $2.4 billion one year prior.
Ms. Faulkner founded Epic, a privately held company, in 1979, and nearly 200 million patients around the globe have a record in an Epic EHR. In 2016, the company posted revenues around $2.6 billion.
Here are the world’s top five billionaires, according to Forbes.
1. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon ($112 billion)
2. Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft ($90 billion)
3. Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway ($84 billion)
4. Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH ($72 billion)
5. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook ($71 billion)
