Epic's Judy Faulkner makes Forbes' billionaires list

Forbes recently released its annual list of "The World's Billionaires" for 2018 and named Judy Faulkner, founder and CEO of EHR giant Epic, among the ranks.

Nearly 2,208 billionaires worth a collective $9.1 trillion made up this year's list, and Ms. Faulkner, 74, placed 652. She is worth nearly $3.5 billion, up from $2.4 billion one year prior.

Ms. Faulkner founded Epic, a privately held company, in 1979, and nearly 200 million patients around the globe have a record in an Epic EHR. In 2016, the company posted revenues around $2.6 billion.

Here are the world's top five billionaires, according to Forbes.

1. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon ($112 billion)

2. Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft ($90 billion)

3. Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway ($84 billion)

4. Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH ($72 billion)

5. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook ($71 billion)
