Yale New Haven's Epic EMR integrates Natera's genetic tests

Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health System integrated Natera's non-invasive prenatal test Panorama, and its carrier screening test, Horizon, into its Epic EMR, the organizations announced March 5.

After a blood draw from a pregnant mother, Panorama NIPT can identify the baby's risk for developing genetic disorders just nine weeks into the pregnancy. Horizon screens parents to determine if they carry one or more genetic conditions that can be passed on to their child.

"We are pleased to integrate with Yale New Haven Health's Epic EMR system, making Natera's tests and patient results readily available to providers throughout its health system," Natera's CEO Matthew Rabinowitz, PhD, said. "We have integrated with many of our customers and continue to partner with healthcare systems across the U.S. to help simplify the genetic testing process for providers and improve access to important information about the genetic health of patients and their babies."
