The move, according to the health system, is slated to cost $40 million and will replace multiple separate systems, according to a Feb. 19 news release from Tidelands.
The conversion to the new system will take place March 2.
Additionally, as Tidelands Health serves as the Charleston, S.C.-based MUSC Health affiliate in the region, the Tidelands Health Epic platform is set to merge with MUSC Health’s Epic EHR system. This integration will ensure that patients and healthcare providers can gain perspectives on a patient’s care that spans both organizations, according to the release.
