Saint Louis-based Mercy Technology Services, the IT arm of Aurora, Mo.-based Mercy health system, provides and manages technology solutions for providers nationwide. Mercy Technology Services will serve as a consultant for North Mississippi Health System’s go-live, which aims to bring more than 800 employed and affiliated providers onto a single Epic EHR.
“It was time to replace multiple systems that caregivers had to bounce between, which was the cause of serious frustration and slowdown,” Jim Weldon, CIO of North Mississippi Health System, said in a June 5 statement.
North Mississippi Health System plans to extend the Epic EHR to other regional providers who aren’t on a shared EHR in future phases of the project.
