Kyle Marek. CIO and Chief Privacy Officer of Carteret General Hospital (Morehead City, N.C.). In 2008, Mr. Marek became CIO and chief privacy officer of Carteret Health Care, a 135-bed nonprofit hospital. He previously served as a computer operations manager and network engineer for the hospital. During his tenure, the hospital has modernized technology at the patient bedside with computer workstations and specialized bedside carts that contain barcode readers for patient identification and proper medication administration.
