Kaweah Delta Health Care District deploys Cerner EHR

Kaweah Delta Health Care District in Visalia, Calif., launched the Cerner EHR system May 1.

The system will give patients one unified healthcare record complete with tests, treatments and medications received at any Kaweah Delta campus. It will give them access to the MyHealth Kaweah Delta patient portal as well.

Kaweah Delta Health Care District warned patients there may be delays as staff and clinicians transition to the new EHR.

“This system will help us better communicate as a team about [a patient’s] healthcare needs so we can provide the best care for [the patient],” said Gary Herbst, CEO of Kaweah Delta.
