Three notes:
1. The 361-bed acute care hospital tapped Medicomp Systems, a computer software company focused on improving EHR usability, to develop the new EHR system, dubbed Harmony.
2. Harmony was developed solely at Holy Name Medical Center and will launch this spring in the hospital’s ED. It will be deployed throughout the rest of the enterprise later this year.
3. Holy Name Medical Center currently uses multiple EHR platforms across its facilities, including an internally developed inpatient system that was implemented in 1999.
“Harmony EHR is the result of a collaborative effort between our IT team and the physicians, nurses, and other key stakeholders who interface with patients every day,” said Sai Kandamangalam, CIO at Holy Name Medical Center. “We’ve attempted to cover every possible milestone of care, including optimized patient access using biometrics and streamlined provider, nursing and billing workflow with AI-enabled clinically intelligent charting.”
