“As we grow as a company, social media is another piece of that,” Barb Hernandez, Epic’s public relations director, told the publication. “We noticed (Epic) customers use Twitter quite a lot.”

Last month, Epic unveiled its new website, epicshare.org, as a platform for hospitals and health system executives to share ideas for improving health IT at their respective organizations and showcase tips and insights from company founder and CEO Judy Faulkner.

The website features five main sections, including a “Hey Judy” spot that shares stories from Ms. Faulkner on her personal business philosophies and experiences from her career.

Epic also created a Twitter account for epicshare.org, a first for the Verona, Wis.-based EHR giant, Leela Vaugn, a senior executive at Epic, told Wisconsin State Journal
