Children’s National begins 2-year transition to Epic

Washington, D.C.-based Children’s National Hospital is transitioning to an Epic EHR system.

The switch is expected to be completed by mid-2027, according to a June 19 news release shared with Becker’s.

“The two-year project aims to improve access to critical clinical information, automate routine workflows and create a seamless digital experience that empowers families throughout their care journey,” Matt MacVey, executive vice president and chief digital and information officer at Children’s National, said in the press release.
