Beacon Health to roll out new EHR at former Ascension Southwest Michigan hospitals

South Bend, Ind.-based Beacon Health System plans to implement a new EHR system at Ascension Southwest Michigan facilities following its acquisition of the organization in July, MLive reported Oct. 9.

According to the publication, Beacon plans to build a new EHR system for the organization that is slated to go live Feb. 1, 2026. 

Beacon signed a definitive agreement in early April to acquire Ascension Southwest Michigan’s four hospitals, 35 outpatient clinics and ASC. The regional subsidiary of St. Louis-based Ascension was officially acquired July 1, bringing more than 2,700 employees and 259 providers under Beacon.
