Three things to know:
1. The American Well Telehealth Patient app is a supplement to the virtual care company’s telehealth clinical app, which was added to Epic’s App Orchard in May and supports clinical workflows for provider-provider encounters.
2. Patients who use the new telehealth patient app can schedule and complete video appointments in MyChart.
3. The new app also allows providers to see when a patient arrives in the virtual waiting room as well as schedule, accept and start video calls directly from the patient chart.
