Laramie, Wyo.-based Ivinson Memorial Health will launch an Epic EHR system Aug. 24, according to Laramie Boomerang.
Four things to know:
1. By implementing Epic, Ivinson Memorial Health will move to the same EHR system as its parent organization UCHealth in Aurora, Colo.
2. Once on Epic, the hospital's patients will be able to access their health records from any UCHealth hospital or affiliate in addition to IMH.
3. IMH patients will also gain access to Epic's online patient portal, which allows them to view their medical data and message their physicians, among other functions.
4. Patients can still access all their medical record data that's been collected prior to the Epic implementation through IMH's website until late 2020.
