Donald Rumsfeld takes up app development for video games

In 1973, former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld learned a variation on the classic card game solitaire in Brussels, the namesake of which is another historic strategist. Mr. Rumsfeld’s memories of “Churchill Solitaire” have now manifested in the form of a gaming app designed with voice memos he recorded and sent to developers, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Rumsfeld reportedly issued critiques of early versions of the app in curt transmissions called snowflakes, which mirror the kinds of memos he was known to send during his time in office over the course of three administrations, according to WSJ.

The app is available on iOS devices for $5 with plans for an Android version in the works. Additionally, Mr. Rumsfeld has said all proceeds from the game will go to charity.
