The Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, the branch of Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai designed to boost healthcare entrepreneurs, is investing $100,000 each in 10 health tech startups.  

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare is using Google's AI-powered nurse-handoff note, which is gaining positive traction from its workforce, Bloomberg reported July 30. 

Pittsburgh-based UPMC Enterprises, and Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital Ventures, the venture capital arms of UPMC and Tampa General Hospital, respectively, have completed a strategic financing round for Medicom, a health tech startup leading enterprise imaging interoperability.

Huma, a global healthcare artificial intelligence company, completed a series D funding round of more than $80 million, bringing the company's valuation to nearly $1 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic leads the way in artificial intelligence investments among health systems, according to a July 15 report from CB Insights.
