Digital health funding is seeing a rebound with startups raising $5.7 billion across 266 deals in the first half of 2024, according to a July 8 report from Rock Health. 

Abridge, a company founded in 2018 that uses AI to automate medical records based on conversations between clinicians and patients, was named the No.1 most exciting digital health startup in a June 25 report by TechCrunch.

Nearly half of patients have had a virtual health appointment in the past two years, and 9 in 10 of those individuals were satisfied with the visit, according to a report from healthcare communications firm Jarrard Inc.
