Definitive Healthcare acquires HIMSS Analytics’ data services business: 3 notes

Definitive Healthcare, a company that provides data and intelligence on the healthcare provider market, has acquired HIMSS Analytics’ data services business.

Three notes:

1. HIMSS Analytics, a subsidiary of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, offers guidance and market intelligence to IT vendors serving the provider market. The subsidiary’s data services business encompasses various custom research products, including models that help sales teams identify healthcare organizations most likely to buy from them.

2. Definitive Healthcare will integrate data sets and platforms from HIMSS Analytics to improve its insight into healthcare organizations’ IT purchasing decisions.

“HIMSS Analytics has developed an extraordinarily powerful data set including technology install data and purchasing contracts among other leading intelligence that, when combined with Definitive Healthcare’s proprietary healthcare provider data, will create a truly best-in-class solution for our client base,” Jason Krantz, founder and CEO of Definitive Healthcare, said in a news release.

3. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
