Alphabet’s venture capital arm among top digital health investors for 2018, report finds

More than 1,000 investors poured $9.5 billion into the digital health space during 2018, according to a report by market research firm Mercom Capital Group.

Digital health startups raised $9.5 billion in 698 venture capital deals during 2018, a 32 percent increase from 2017’s record-breaking $7.2 billion in 778 deals. A total of 1,396 investors — including private equity and corporate venture capital firms — participated in these digital health deals, up from 1,288 investors in 2017.
