In a June 2 update, Idaho Falls said its staff have been “working around the clock” to determine the scope of the attack and to bring its systems back online.
The news comes after Idaho Falls Community Hospital and Mountain View Hospital, a physician-owned hospital, reported on May 30 that a cyberattack had infiltrated their computer systems, forcing staff to take them offline.
The attack had caused both facilities to divert ambulances to nearby hospitals and close some of their clinics.
Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health is a minority investor for the Idaho hospitals.
