The draft draws from more than 35 departments and agencies to formulate an approach to implement healthcare IT in the U.S. from 2015 to 2020. The original draft was released in 2011, and the new plan reflects updates. Once all the comments have been considered, the ONC will release an updated draft of the plan later in 2015.
Individuals who wish to submit a comment on the draft can do so at the ONC’s website and either type a comment into the box provided or upload a document containing a longer formal comment. They can also choose which of the draft’s five goals to comment on or can comment on the draft in general.
