The two organizations have long been partnering on the annual CMIO Boot Camp, an informatics-focused conference. Through the expanded partnership, CHIME will offer support to AMDIS’ education and public policy efforts and serve as AMDIS’ health IT adviser and in return, AMDIS will advise CHIME officials on the growing field of healthcare informatics.
“CHIME strongly believes that the formation of closely aligned partnerships can enable true IT transformation and progress in healthcare,” CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell said in a statement. “This alliance demonstrates the commitment of both organizations to support the industry’s leading IT professionals and their pivotal role in the delivery of healthcare.”
