CHIME Appoints Former Vanderbilt Deputy CIO as Executive Vice President of Membership, Professional Development

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executive has announced the appointment of George W. McCulloch as its Executive Vice President of Membership and Professional Development.

Mr. McCulloch has more than 25 years of healthcare experience, most recently as the Deputy CIO of Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

"We are extremely pleased to have a seasoned CIO and industry professional of George's caliber join CHIME’s senior management team," said Russel P. Branzell, CHIME president and CEO, in the news release. "His extensive leadership and experience with both our certification and membership programs will be a tremendous asset in furthering CHIME's growth and development strategies."

In his new role, Mr. McCulloch will oversee CHIME's certification and membership initiatives as well direct the launch of several new member organizations servicing chief security officers, chief application officers and chief technology officers. 

"I'm eager and honored to accept this new position. Having been involved with CHIME as a member, fellow, and most recently [on] the board, I believe strongly in the mission and have a great respect for the CIO role," said Mr. McCulloch in the news release.
