Banner Health will continue to deploy Cerner’s EHR across its campuses and clinics and develop a strategy to align the provider’s clinic-based record with the hospital’s acute care record. The health system will also roll out several population health management solutions, according to a news release.
As a part of the agreement, several Cerner leaders and associates will relocate permanently to Banner’s headquarters in Phoenix. The Cerner representatives will work with Banner executives on adoption and future implementation of IT solutions, according to the news release.
Banner currently uses Cerner’s EHR platform in 26 hospitals, 21 of which have received the HIMSS Stage 7 recognition for efficient healthcare IT use, according to the news release.
