Cerner, KU Hospital, Unified Government of Wyandotte County open health center

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County, Kansas City-based The University of Kansas Hospital and Cerner partnered to open a 5,000-square-foot health center.

The Road to Wellness Health Center in Kansas City, Kan., will provide county and city employees with convenient healthcare services.

The center, which utilizes Cerner’s EHR system, offers various wellness and preventive services including vaccinations and skin cancer screenings.

This is the eighth on-site health center Cerner has helped open in the greater Kansas City area.

“We are excited to support the Unified Government and the University of Kansas Hospital in UG’s Road to Wellness employee program,” said Cener Vice President of Population Health Mike Heckman. “We share a vision to provide affordable, convenient and high-quality health and care services to employees and their families. Cerner is eager to advance this important initiative that aims to make a positive impact on the overall health of our local community.”
